We learned tonight that God is God and ruling and reigning in heaven yes, but He is also our Loving Heavenly Father!! When you think about a father what do you think about, whether good or bad? Loving, caring, protector, never there, abusive, alcholic, mean, etc… whatever it is whether good or bad, we often use our perspective of our earthly father and view God when we hear Him called father. This is not true of our Heavenly Father, we can not compare Him with our earthly father’s even as awesome as they may be because even they will let us down. God as our Heavenly Father is perfect and complete not lacking anything, He knows us better then we know ourselves and …. listen ….. He ONLY want the very best for our lives!!!! Now does that mean He wants us to have any easy life or that He will cause us to be healthy, wealthy and rich…. uh no …. but it does mean He will never leave us or forsake us and will always love us perfectly, never letting us down!! We are the ones that let Him down, by not trusting Him and listening to Him!!!! A father is meant to be a protector, provider, and priest to his family and that is exactly what God is to us. Listen, whatever your earthly father is not your heavenly Father is everything. When you need a shoulder to cry on… cry out to God, He will listen. When you need an encouraging word, go to His word…. He calls you His son or daughter… He has created you in His own image….. and He doesn’t make mistakes…. no matter what the world or your family tells you … God has created you for a PURPOSE!!
